D.N.A is a manga-turn-anime story by Masakazu Katsura, the person who brought you Video Girl Ai and "Is". The story evolves around a guy, Junta Momonari, who is said to be the Super Playboy who caused lots of trouble in the future where Karin Aoi lives. In order to stop him, Aoi has to travel back to the past and seek Junta to change his D.N.A to change the future...

Upon completing her mission of inserting D.C.M (D.N.A Changing Medicine) into Junta, Aoi found out that the D.C.M actually caused Junta's D.N.A to form into those of the Super Playboy's. Aoi then sets off again to stop Junta but found out that Junta's schoolmate, Tomoko Saeki had fell in live with Junta and before she knows it, another of Junta's schoolmate, Kotomi Takanashi also fell in love with him and even she, herself began a victim.

Things got worst when Ryuji Sugashita, Saeki's boyfriend found out that Junta has stole his girlfriend away. He tries to kill Junta using all types of method. And in the progress of doing this, he was incidentally shot by D.C.M from Aoi when she missed a shot at Junta. Soon, Ryuji gained the power of shapeshifting by obtaining the D.N.A of others. Now, the only way to stop this disaster is to make Junta fall in love with his childhood mate, who is non other than Ami Kurimoto...
